RunDisney Partners with ATvantage to have ATs at Racing Events

RunDisney has partnered with ATvantage, an athletic training contracting company who hires certified athletic trainers, to contract its medical staff for its races; the most recent event was the Avengers Super Heroes Half Marathon Weekend. AT Establishes In-Season Traumatic Anterior Shoulder Instability Rehab Protocol

The Head Athletic Trainer at West Los Angeles College, Victor Pulido ATC, is currently working on his PhD in Athletic Training and will be working with the USC DPT Department and the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic to establish an in-season Traumatic Anterior Shoulder Instability Rehabilitation Protocol using the Bodyblade. University of La Verne ATSC Hold 5K Fun Run Fundraiser

On October 25th, 2014 the University of La Verne Athletic Training Student Club (ATSC) hosted the Annual 5k Community Fun Run , at the University of La Verne.  The Fun Run drew over 110 participants and the proceeds help raise funds to attend educational conferences like the FWATA and NATA annual meetings. San Diego Chargers ATs Awarded Game Ball from Coach Mike McCoy

University of Hawaii ATs Volunteer at Ironman World Championship

On Saturday, October 11th 2014, University of Hawaii at Manoa Post-Professional Athletic Training Program students Timothy Cuddeback and Nicholas DePhillipo helped volunteer for the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii. They were part of the logistics and transportation crew and helped transport athletes to cots in the medical tent, triage, and weigh them in. They were a valuable asset to the medical team for the Ironman and made lasting relationships.  …
