District 8 Remembers Byron Wildermuth, a Pioneer in Sports Rehabilitation

Byron Paul Wildermuth, PT, a pioneer in sports physical therapy and well-known rehabilitation clinician in the San Diego area, passed away at his home in San Diego on September 17, 2018 after a prolonged illness related to congestive heart failure. Nikkei Games Basketball Tournament Support Mark Ando & Ito Family Scholarship Fund

Each August the Nikkei Games Basketball Tournament donates to the FWATA Mark Ando & Ito Family Scholarship Fund for providing Athletic Training Services during the 2 day tournament. EDAC Service Events at NATA

The Ethnic Diversity Advisory Committee had two very successful service events during the FWATA Annual Meeting and Clinical Symposium thanks to our wonderful volunteers. In collaboration with Be The Match, EDAC was able to recruit 30 new potential donors in person and another 30 online. Also, EDAC was able to speak to the sports medicine students at a local high school and further their interest in the athletic training profession.…
