HCAMP Participates in Annual Hawaii Pacific Health Kid Fest

On Sunday, October 26, 2014 the Hawaii Concussion Awareness and Management Program (HCAMP) participated in Hawaii Pacific Health’s Annual Kids Fest promoting Children’s Health at the Bishop Museum. The Kids Fest is a free community health event designed to educate Hawaii’s children and families on healthy active lifestyles, exercise and nutrition, and injury prevention. HATA & Bank of Hawaii Team Up at Annual Health Fair

The Bank of Hawaii held its annual health fair on Friday, October 17th. For the second year in a row, the Hawaii Athletic Trainers’ Association volunteered, providing information on proprioception training, theraband use at the workstation, and proper muscle engagement for sitting and standing. University of Hawaii ATs Volunteer at Ironman World Championship

On Saturday, October 11th 2014, University of Hawaii at Manoa Post-Professional Athletic Training Program students Timothy Cuddeback and Nicholas DePhillipo helped volunteer for the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii. They were part of the logistics and transportation crew and helped transport athletes to cots in the medical tent, triage, and weigh them in. They were a valuable asset to the medical team for the Ironman and made lasting relationships.  …
