FWATA Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament in Kona

The newly re-opened ocean front Kona Country Club was a wonderful course to host the annual FWATA Scholarship Golf Tournament.  49 golfers made up the field on this beautiful Thursday afternoon on the Big Island of Hawai’i. Hawaii High Schools receive NATA Safe Sports School Award

We are happy to announce that Kailua High School, King Kekaulike High School, and Sacred Hearts Academy have received the NATA Safe Sports School 1st Team Award. Kailua High School was the first school on Oahu this calendar year to receive the award and King Kekaulike is the first school in Maui to receive this award. HATA Hosts Annual Student Athletic Training Aide Workshop

On Saturday, May 21st, the Hawaii Athletic Trainers’ Association held their annual student athletic training aide workshop at Kalaheo High School in Kailua. Activities included CPR hands-only training, fascial stretching, taping, splinting, and spine boarding. Talks included the realities of life as an athletic trainer, surf competition health care coverage, and the new degree requirements for athletic training students.  Students were also provided a potluck of food, a t-shirt, and…

On Sunday, March 20th, athletic trainers on Oahu supported the University of Hawaii Rainbow Warrior Baseball team as they played the Chicago State Cougars. It was a beautiful day to spend with fellow colleagues and attend a baseball game. Kalaheo High School Hosts First Career Day

On Monday, March 14th, Kalaheo High School hosted their first career day. Any high school student interested in athletic training could sign up for the presentation.
