San Diego ATs Host Athletes Saving Athletes Event

On March 23rd St. Augustine High School in San Diego hosted an Athletes Saving Athletes (ASA™) program put on by the non-profit organization Advocates for Injured Athletes.  The primary goal of the program was to educate high school aged athletes to recognize potentially life threatening injuries. HATA Hosts Annual Student Athletic Training Aide Workshop

On Saturday, May 21st, the Hawaii Athletic Trainers’ Association held their annual student athletic training aide workshop at Kalaheo High School in Kailua. Activities included CPR hands-only training, fascial stretching, taping, splinting, and spine boarding. Long Beach State AT Program Raises Money during NATM

The Athletic Training Program at Long Beach State had the privilege to participate in the Walk-a-Thon that supported the Boys & Girl Clubs of Long Beach and the Healthy Lifestyle Programs.   The BGCLB have 14 Clubs located in the most vulnerable parts of Long Beach offering homework help, sports, character-building activities and other programs that serve more than 5,500 kids annually. AT Chase Paulson Raises Awareness for NATM

On Sunday, March 20, Chase Paulson, MS, ATC, athletic training student Sarah Jimenez (University of La Verne), and Diamond Bar High School’s ROP Sports Medicine class volunteered for the City of Diamond Bar’s first annual “5k/1k Run Walk 4 Kids” by running the first-aid station. Kalaheo High School Hosts First Career Day

On Monday, March 14th, Kalaheo High School hosted their first career day. Any high school student interested in athletic training could sign up for the presentation.
