Hawai’i ATs Volunteer at Great Aloha Run

University of Hawaii at Manoa Entry-Level and Post-Professional Athletic Training Education Program students volunteered for the 31st annual Kaiser Permanente Great Aloha Run on February 16, 2015. Dr. Chun and Dr. Uhr at Kaiser organized the medical coverage for the event that had close to 30,000 participants. HATA Scholarship Deadline

Stanford AT Covers Red Bull Crashed Ice

Dominic Vincentini MS, ATC, Stanford Assistant Athletic Trainer, was member of the medical staff for the Red Bull Crashed Ice event from January 22nd to 24th.  Vincentini and other athletic trainers provided medical coverage to skaters that descend down a steep ice canal filled with bumps, jumps, rollers and obstacles four-at-a-time, jostling for position as they reach speeds of up to 70 kph.
